Carol Danvers, an official pilot in the United States Air Force, was declared dead in the late 1980s after her plane crashed. Danvers absorbed energy from the explosion and gained superpowers but was saved by Yon-Rogg, an agent of the Kree alien race. She was only called Vers and on the planet Hala, capital of the Kree Empire in a distant galaxy, she was trained as a warrior and became part of Starforce, a paramilitary force. Back on Earth she regained her memory and developed her full powers and discovered that she was in the middle of a galactic conflict between two alien worlds. With superhuman strength, flight ability and energy projection/absorption she began her hero career under Captain Marvel's name. In Avengers: Endgame after saving Tony Stark from space Carol teams up with Earth's heroes to fight Thanos.In comics with another origin story created by Roy Thomas & Gene Colan in 1968 as Carol Danvers & Miss Marvel in 1977 becoming member of Avengers also appearing alongside groups like X-Men Starjammers Thunderbolts & S.H.I.E.L.D.18 cm
